The Aviation Book by Fia O Caoimh.

    by The Irish Independent

“This is an extraordinary book, even by the high standards of the London publisher Thames & Hudson. It is a mammoth production, the ultimate book for anyone interested in aeroplanes from ordinary travellers to the guys in anoraks and binoculars. The amount of work is mind boggling as is the story of the text. O Caoimh frequently made notes on his drawings in his own architects script and Thames & Hudson were so taken with this that they created a new typeface based on his handwriting. Such attention to detail is characteristic of the book as a whole. With over 350 pages, lots of colloquial stories about aircraft and those who fly them, and fastidious text, this is an impressive piece of work. The author and Thames & Hudson should immediately be awarded free travel on all the worlds airlines !”
